This might be such a cliched recipe, but it is a favorite. I have used melted and slightly browned butter instead of whipping butter with sugar.

Recipe – Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe adapted from Deliciousdays

150 g butter

150 g granular sugar

150 g dark chocolate chips

1 egg plus 1 egg yolk

225 g all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

Sea salt to sprinkle

1/4 tsp salt

Melt butter over slow fire and let it brown slightly, keeping a watch so it doesn’t burn. Mix together the sugar, salt and eggs, whisk them till pale in color. Mix in the flour and baking soda slowly. It should be a thick batter. Add the chocolate chips in the end. Using a spoon, scoop the mix and space them on a baking sheet. Keep a distance for them to expand. Bake in a preheated oven at 175C for about 15 minutes, till the edges begin to brown. Don’t overbake. Cool on a wire rack and store it in a airtight container.
