Low fat Chocolate Ice-Cream
As in my earlier post using a ice-cream maker has opened vistas for ice-cream making and I am so much enjoying it. I want to try out so many flavours.
This is a low calorie Chocolate Ice-cream in terms I have not added any cream to this.
1/4 cup sugar
400 gms of toned milk
2 egg yolks
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp chocolate syrup or melted dark chocolate
Just heat milk to a boil. Whisk together the yolks and sugar separately. Temper the yolk mixture with hot milk and add the yolk mixture to milk after removing the saucepan from the stove. Boil till mixture thickens and coats back of a wooden spoon. Remove and add the cocoa powder and chocolate syrup. Let it cool completely. Freeze in the ice-cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions. Or freeze it in the freezer and breaking the ice after a couple of hours till it’s set.
