We finally took our long awaiting vacation to Europe which had been meticulously planned for over two months now.
Our first day was spend in Zurich and then we took a Swiss train to Luzern where we would be staying for 2 days.We were not off to a good start, as the airlines lost our checked in luggage and we were stranded with no clothes for the next 4 days. It was a miserable experience, where they assured we will receive our bags for sure within a day’s time. Apart from this our experience in Swiss was wonderful so far.
We did a small tour around Zurich before heading off to Lucern on the same day. Took a train from Zurich airport to the central station in Zurich and did a quick round of the town, before boarding for a train to Luzern. Our Swiss pass covered all this.
We spent relaxing and touring around Old town areas in Luzern, navigating had been slightly difficult, being in a non English speaking region, but so far so good. Luzern is a small town centered around this wooden bridge and is the base for most of the mountain excursions.
